DSE/VDU Ergonomic Assessments

€35 Per Person / €350 for group of 12

2.5 Hour Course(* or shorter – dependent on group size)

Aim Who’s it for	This training is designed for Computer Workstation Users, who habitually use Portabledisplay screen equipment, showing them how to minimise risks.
Requirements	This course will ensure that you comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 5 of Part 2. If the employee has no choice but to use the VDU to carry out her/his work If the employee normally uses the VDU for continuous periods of more than one hour If the VDU is generally used by the employee on a daily basis
Method of Delivery	This course is available to run on site for a minimum of 6 delegates
Course Programme	This will include step by step guides to setting up the workstation and various components of the computer and how to use laptops effectively. It also gives the employee advice on how to plan their workload and some exercises that they can do at their desk to reduce strain. Understand the importance of DSE (Display Screen Equipment) and what is covered under the regulations. Correctly identify musculoskeletal risks associated with the use of DSE and to correctly setup workstations to minimise potential problems. Know the legislation and how it applied to them. Understand the measures needed to protect their body. Have guidance on how to manage their work arrangements, including: Setting up their work station and adjusting their work environment, plan their workload and some exercises that they can do at their desk to reduce strain.
Duration & Assessment	2.5 Hour course (* or shorter – dependent on group size)
Certification	The course will conclude with a short test. Successful completion of this test will result in certification by MHandling Training.
